Reiki TrainingTHE TEACHING OF REIKI ENERGY HEALING
As a Master practitioner/Teacher registered with the UK Reiki Federation you can be sure my teaching is of the highest standard. I teach traditional Usui Shiki Ryoho Reiki, and my training is now in line with the Core Curriculum and National Occupational Standards proposed for Reiki. I am the only teacher in Worcestershire whose practitioner course has been verified by the Federation.
I am also the Worcestershire representative for the UK Reiki Federation. We also hold meetings in Bromsgrove to which anyone can come to experience this wonderful healing modality. This would be an ideal opportunity to come along and meet me to see if I am the right teacher for you.
Reiki is an ancient healing used thousands of years ago in Tibet, China and India. Rediscovered over a hundred years ago it is a growing and more widely accepted healing modality. It reinforces the body's natural ability to harmonise itself and can support and enhance all other forms of treatment. Modern living drains our reserves and Reiki can help to gently support and strengthen the body and mind during periods of stress and trauma. It works holistically on the whole person and to bring about a sense of deep relaxation and wellbeing. No belief systems are attached to Reiki and there is no conflict with any religious beliefs already held. It is now increasingly used in hospices, hospitals and other conventional medical settings to enhance other forms of treatment. Reiki's gentle energy is easily adapted to most medical conditions and may be used safely by people of all ages, including the newborn, pregnant mothers, surgical patients, the frail and the elderly, in any situation. Being complementary, Reiki works effectively alongside orthodox healthcare and natural remedies, expanding treatment options.
Reiki enhances everyday living, and regular sessions may help to promote development of a healthier, more resourceful state of being.
It is becoming increasingly popular as an additional skill for healthcare professionals, such as nurses, physiotherapists, etc.
REIKI IS TAUGHT IN FOUR STAGES:
FIRST DEGREE can be learnt over one weekend and is complete in itself. The proposed training standards specify at least 14 hours initial training. The focus is on how to treat yourself and others (including animals). We meet for 2 further half days following the course and ongoing support is given.
SECOND DEGREE gives you additional tools to enhance your treatment, especially of others, and achieving this level allows you to become a practitioner. Again, this level should involve at least 14 hours one-to-one teaching and it is recommended that you should wait at least 3 months from Reiki 1 before undertaking level 2 training. Ongoing support is included for the newly qualified practitioner.
Please also note that the proposed National Occupational Standards will not recognise you as a practitioner if levels 1 and 2 have been taken together.
If students already attuned at this level wish to upgrade their training to ensure the new regulations are complied with, this again can be done on a one to one basis. This would ensure immediate acceptable by such organisations as the Department of Health's Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council.
THIRD DEGREE is for those who wish to deepen their awareness of Reiki and ..
MASTER TEACHING DEGREE is the final step - although you never stop learning with Reiki! - which gives you the skills to become a teacher yourself. Following the initial course regular contact is maintained with a further 3 half-days booked, observance of casestudies and many hours logged over a 12 month period.
You can find me on the UK Reiki Federation website: www.reikifed.co.uk - all the practitioner/teacher members of the UKRF have comprehensive insurance and adhere to their Codes of Ethics and Standards of Practice. The Core Curriculum for Reiki can be viewed on the Reiki Council website.

** ADDITIONAL COURSE FOR 2017
If Teachers of Reiki wish to ensure their Practitioner Level 2 course complies with the Core Curriculum and National Occupational Standards for teaching Reiki, I am offering a one day course. You will be given all the teaching material you require together with a booklet for evidencing competences. Please ring for details.
All of my courses are held in Droitwich in a quiet, peaceful and private location. Course costs include all refreshments, organic lunches and detailed manuals, together with all the ongoing support you need. Teaching can be on an individual basis or in small groups of no more than 4 to ensure that individual needs are met. Remember that the initial cost also includes the additional time we will spend together following your course.
If any of the above dates are not suitable, individual arrangements can be made. I slot many other dates in during the year so do please ring for details.
I do suggest that we meet for a couple of hours to discuss commencement of Reiki training and for you to confirm that I am the right teacher for you. This is, of course, complimentary.
A non-returnable deposit of £50 is required at the time of booking with the balance payable 2 weeks prior to the course.
