Reiki Training
THE TEACHING OF REIKI ENERGY HEALING
As a Master practitioner/Teacher registered with the UK Reiki Federation you can be sure my teaching is of the highest standard. I teach traditional Usui Shiki Ryoho Reiki, and my training is now in line with the Core Curriculum and National Occupation Standards proposed for Reiki.
I am also the Worcestershire representative for the UK Reiki Federation and arrange bi-monthly meetings in Bromsgrove to which anyone can come to experience this wonderful healing art. This would be an ideal opportunity to come along and meet me to see if I am the right teacher for you.
Reiki is an ancient healing used thousands of years ago in Tibet, China and India. Rediscovered over a hundred years ago it is a growing and more widely accepted healing modality. It reinforces the body's natural ability to heal itself and can support and enhance all other forms of treatment. Modern living drains our reserves and Reiki can help to gently support and strengthen the body and mind during periods of stress and trauma. It works holisically to balance the whole person and to bring about a sense of deep relaxation and wellbeing. No belief systems are attached to Reiki and there is no conflict with any religious beliefs already held. It is now increasingly used in hospices, hospitals and other conventional medical settings to enhance other forms of treatment. Reiki's gentle energy is easily adapted to most medical conditions and may be used safely by people of all ages, including the newborn, pregnant mothers, surgical patients, the frail and the elderly, in any situation. Being complementary, Reiki works effectively alongside orthodox healthcare and natural remedies, expanding treatment options.
Reiki enhances everyday living, and regular sessions may help to promote development of a healther, more resourceful state of being.
It is becoming increasingly popular as an additional skill for healthcare professionals, such as nurses, physiotherapists, etc.
REIKI IS TAUGHT IN FOUR STAGES:
FIRST DEGREE can be learnt over one weekend and is complete in itself. The proposed training standards specify at least 12 hours initial training. The focus is on how to treat yourself and others (including animals).
SECOND DEGREE gives you additional tools to enhance your treatment, especially of others, and achieving this level allows you to become a practitioner. Again, this level should involve at least 12 hours one-to-one teaching and it is recommended that you should wait at least 3 months from Reiki 1 before undertaking level 2 training. Ongoing support is available for the newly qualified practitioner.
Please also note that the proposed National Occupational Standards will not recognise you as a practitioner if levels 1 and 2 have been taken together.
THIRD DEGREE is for those who wish to deepen their awareness of Reiki and ..
MASTER DEGREE is the final step, giving you the ability to attune others to the Reiki energy.
You can find me on the UK Reiki Federation website: www.reikifed.co.uk - all the practitioner/teacher members of the UKRF have comprehensive insurance and adhere to their Codes of Ethics and Standards of Practice.
